FCDO-Lafiya supported the review meeting of ethical health financing (EHF) on Wednesday, February 14th, 2024 at Tahir Guest Palace Hotel, Kano, Kano State. The meeting has in attendance 26 LGAs WAQF Foundations and Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KSCHMA).
The objectives of the meeting was;
1. To review progress on the implementation of EHF,
2. To identify challenges and develop steps to mitigate,
3. To share learning and best practices among peers.
During the meeting a scorecard was projected show casing the level (%) of achievement/implementation by Waqf Foundations across the 26 LGAs.
Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KSCHMA) made a presentation on Taimakekeniyar Lafiya which was warmly appreciated by the WAQF Foundations, this was after the energizing speech by the Executive Secretary KSCHMA on the Agency’s programs and initiatives targeting low-income populace including poor and vulnerable residents of Kano State all towards attainment of Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
The FCDO-Lafiya pledge for continues support towards a healthier society of Kano State.
